For vets: How we help your practice

A dog’s behavioral health is intimately connected to his physical health.  With that in mind, Michael’s Dogs works closely with veterinary partners to provide expert support in the area of dog training and the science of behavior change.

Canine patients with behavior problems pose a number of risks.  Frightened and aggressive dogs can injure doctors and staff.  They can slow and impede treatment, threatening overall quality of care.  In fact, clients with anxious dogs may be too ashamed or even unable to bring their dogs in at all.

In-clinic learning opportunities are one way Michael can help your practice even more effectively deal with anxious, frightened and aggressive patients.   He presents short lunch-and-learn seminars, or longer full-day practical labs on handling and calming dogs in your clinic.

Michaels Dogs also has learning material for your clients:

Understanding Aggression Tri-fold

Potty Training Tri-fold

Baby Prep for Dogs Tri-fold

Puppy Pack Inserts (8.5 x 11 cards) on potty training, puppy biting, chewing, and socialization

Please call to have these delivered to your practice free of charge.

Integrated care for your clients is Michael’s Dogs’ primary mission.  Michael includes you and your staff in the behavior change process as he works with your clients.  With the client’s permission, Michael will send you a summarized report of his behavior change plan.  He will also include you in the interactive and exclusive online training journal if you want.  It is both a useful and interesting way to see the process of training and behavior coaching unfold for your client and their dog.

Please call at your convenience.  Michael would be happy to talk to you any time about any or all of these options.
